《离开之后》是有关于跟随拍摄一名打算出家的年轻人的回乡之旅。结合家庭相片、文本、录音、胶片录像,试图消减人物与事件,转向情绪在特定情境中的延续。其中,文本是有关童年数次离家跑去出家的回忆;胶片录像呈现了一段火车经过数个隧道时的影像,以及关于一个预言性梦境的谈话。当媒介相互交叉时产生边界模糊的地带,可以用来描述不可言说的以及不可观看的感受。与其说是一次纪实摄影的体验,不如说是我个人对虚构的需求——反复想象、揣度、拼接不同时间碎片中的影像,来还原我想象中那些过往的事件。

This is about a trip back to hometown with a young man who’s planning to be a monk. I video recorded along the way. Combining family photos with text field, conversation and film recording, I attempt to weaken the character and the event but focus on emotion continuation in specific situations. The text field is about the memory of several runaways to be a monk in the young man’s childhood. The film recording presents the image of a train passes through several tunnels, and a conversation about a predictive dream. When different media intercross, there comes fuzzy boundary area, which can be used to describe unspeakable and unwatchable feelings. Rather than an experience of documentary photography, then, these are more of my personal needs for fiction – repeatedly imagine and concatenate images from different time fragments to restore the events in my imagination.
